Kids these days.

Back in my day, we used to ….(insert your own idealized memories).   Whatever we were back then (I don’t know about you but I was awesome – not everyone agreed with my assessment), we grew into who we are now.  I created this poster for his Bar Mitzvah.  The photograph was taken during a visit of grandchildren to their grandfather –my stepfather.  The skateboarding appliqué on the tee shirt 

was photographed in my studio.  I have photographed 

many “attitudinal” teenagers but this was my most challenging shoot!  

I’m wondering if he sees his personality in this photo.  What is his perspective on his 13 year old persona?  When he sees other 13 year olds, does he think, ”kids these days?”  Looking back, what is your perspective on your youth?
