Warming the World: A Pilgrimage in Another Dimension

Warming the World: A Pilgrimage in Another Dimension

During World War II, the Nazis came to Izbica, ordered the Jewish villagers there to destroy the Jewish gravestones and build a prison with them. After the war, the family  of Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Leiner incorporated them into a building over his grave.

We had many remarkable, surprising, and moving encounters here during our “Warming the World, Raising Sparks” pilgrimage.

Our “Warming the World, Raising Sparks” pilgrimage was the first part of a legacy book project and photographic exhibit. While you may not be able to go on a pilgrimage like ours, you can share the experience. Rediscover the great teachings that sustained our people. Reconnect with your grandparents and their ancestors. Pass on their legacy to your grandchildren.
