The bird’s blood drains onto the earth. This connects us with the murder of Able.

                                       “And the Lord said, 'What have you done?                                                                       Listen; your brother's blood is crying out to me from the ground'” (Gen. 4:10).

                        Rabbi Hoffman will make chicken soup for a pre Yom Kippur meal                                     with the rooster and chicken.

                      Cathy took me on a hike to hear the new-er piano that                                                  replaced the weather-worn piano that was so good                          for playing out of tune.
